A bolt-on rear disc brake kit built for GM 10 and 12 bolt rear ends with staggered rear shocks, finished with black powder-coated calipers. It fits the 1968-69 Camaro and Firebird and the 1968-74 Nova. Standard rear disc kits won't clear a staggered shock setup, so this kit uses a special caliper layout that does. As an LX kit, it comes with 11" cross drilled & slotted rotors, stainless steel braided brake hoses, and large loaded GM calipers with a built-in e-brake, finished in black for a clean, stealth look behind your wheels.

Built for Staggered Shocks

On a staggered shock rear end, one shock mounts in front of the axle and the other mounts behind it. A standard rear disc kit puts both calipers in the same position, so one of them runs into a shock. The DBK1012SLX-B fixes that with two right side caliper brackets and two right side calipers. One caliper mounts facing toward the front of the car and the other faces toward the rear, so each caliper clears the shock on its side of the axle.

Black Calipers for a Clean, Stealth Look

Black calipers paired with drilled and slotted rotors give the back of your Camaro, Firebird or Nova a clean, understated performance look that works with any paint color. The powder-coated finish helps protect the calipers, and it looks great behind open-spoke and five-spoke wheels.

The cross drilled and slotted rotors help shed heat and gas on hard stops. The stainless steel braided hoses resist swelling under pressure, so your pedal feels firmer and more consistent than it does with rubber hoses. Every part is brand new. Nothing is rebuilt or remanufactured.

Before You Order

• Staggered shocks only: Look under the rear of your car. If one shock mounts in front of the axle and the other mounts behind it, this kit fits. If both shocks are on the same side of the axle (non-staggered), this kit will not fit. Order our DBK1012LX-B instead.
• Rear end: It works on GM 10 bolt and 12 bolt rear ends, C-clip or non C-clip.
• Bolt pattern: The rotors are drilled for GM 5 x 4.75" with 7/16" studs.
• Axle flange fit: Your axle flange must fit inside the rotor hat: 6.11" max diameter, 2.78" max register and a .050 x 45° chamfer.
