Product Description

PB7537C 7" Dual Diaphragm Power Brake Booster: Chrome

Get more stopping power and show-quality looks in one compact package. The PB7537C packs two diaphragms into a 7" booster, so it delivers more braking assist than a single diaphragm booster of the same diameter. Its bright chrome finish dresses up any engine bay, making it a natural fit for street rods, hot rods, and show cars where every part under the hood is on display.

The small footprint fits tight engine bays and builds that are upgrading from manual brakes with limited room, and it also works in frame-mounted (under-floor) setups. It uses the standard GM bolt pattern on the front and back, with a 3-3/8" square firewall pattern, so it works with common GM master cylinders and mounting brackets. The threaded 3/8-24 pushrod lets you set pedal engagement precisely.

Popular GM Applications
This booster is a popular choice for custom and swapped brake systems on:

  • Classic Chevy cars: 1937–1954 Chevy cars, 1955–1957 Bel Air, 210, 150, and Nomad, 1958–1964 Impala and Biscayne
  • Chevy muscle cars: 1962–1979 Nova and Chevy II, 1964–1972 Chevelle and El Camino, 1967–1981 Camaro
  • Pontiac: 1964–1972 GTO, LeMans, and Tempest, 1967–1981 Firebird and Trans Am
  • Oldsmobile and Buick: 1964–1972 Cutlass and 442, 1964–1972 Skylark and GS
  • Chevy and GMC trucks: 1947–1954 Advance Design, 1955–1959 Task Force, 1960–1966 and 1967–1972 C10 and C20 pickups, 1967–1972 Blazer and Suburban

The dual diaphragm design is especially well suited to heavier vehicles like trucks and full-size cars, and to builds running four-wheel disc brakes.

Fitment varies with pedal assembly, mounting location, and master cylinder choice. Always confirm clearance and bracket requirements before you buy. Mounting brackets and master cylinder are sold separately.
