Our redesigned Mopar A-body disc brake kit takes the hassle and much of the cost out of a front disc conversion. It's built from all-new parts and bolts onto your existing control arms, which can save you 25% or more compared to conversions that make you replace them.

This power version adds everything you need for power-assisted stopping: a compact 7" power brake booster on a special offset bracket, a Bendix-type master cylinder and an adjustable proportioning valve. You get disc brakes up front, light pedal effort and the parts to tie it all together, in one box.

Made for the A-body engine bay
Anyone who's worked under the hood of a Dart, Valiant or Duster knows how little room there is. This kit uses a 7" black powder-coated booster on a special offset mounting bracket that raises it up, so it clears the tight spaces A-bodies are known for. You get power assist without fighting for room around the steering box, exhaust or valve cover.

Proven master cylinder
The kit includes a popular Ford-style, Bendix-type master cylinder (2227161). It's a well-known, easy-to-service unit matched to the booster.

Brake balance you control
The included adjustable proportioning valve lets you fine-tune front-to-rear brake bias, so you can keep the rear wheels from locking up early and dial in balanced, predictable stops.

⚠️ Before you order: confirm two things

1. Your bolt pattern is 5 x 4" (small bolt pattern)
This kit is for the 5 x 4" small bolt pattern found on many early-'60s A-bodies. We also offer a 5 x 4.5" version, so make sure you order the one that matches your car.

How to check: on a 5-lug hub, measure from the center of one stud to the outside edge of the stud across from it (skip the one next to it). About 4" means you need this kit. About 4-1/2" means you need the 5 x 4.5" kit.

2. Your wheels will clear the calipers
This kit fits most 14" wheels, but not the very narrowest 14" wheels Mopar ever made. Your wheels must have:

• At least 13.25" inside diameter, measured across the inside of the barrel
• At least 4" backspacing

How to check backspacing: lay the wheel face down, set a straightedge across the back rim lip, and measure straight down to the mounting pad where the wheel touches the hub. A wheel that falls short on either measurement won't clear the calipers.
