Get a Disc Brake Conversion Kit for Your B-Body or E-Body Vehicle

Posted on

One of our disc brake conversion kits in our online store is made to fit both B-Body vehicles from 1962-1972 and E-Body vehicles from 1970-1974. While these are both really popular model types, what's the difference?

  • B-Body was used from 1962-1979
  • E-Body was used in the 1970's (and a different version on vehicles made in the 1980's)

Both versions were used in mid-sized passenger vehicles and were rear-wheel drives. So how can you tell the difference between the two?

Visually, the B-Body isn't as wide in the rear as the E-Body, but this can be difficult to tell if you don't have another vehicle to compare it to. The easiest way is to look up the year, make and model of your vehicle online. There are ones of online guides that will tell you which body platform the maker was using that year to create your vehicle. Wikipedia can be especially helpful when it comes to discovering which models used which platform.

Once you've discovered which body type was used on your vehicle, it will be much easier to find the parts that you need. You can head over to the Pirate Jack online store and place your order with us today for the replacement auto parts and disc brake conversion kits you need that were made for your type of vehicle.

Pirate Jack makes it easy to get the right kit but clearly listing the years, makes and models that each kit fits on our product description page. If you can't find the kit that you are looking for in our online store, give us a call! We'll help you identify the parts and pieces that you need.
