Building a hot rod, street rod or custom, or replacing a worn master cylinder on a classic? This universal cast iron master cylinder gives you the flexibility to plumb it your way. It has 3/8"-24 ports on both sides, a 7/8" bore that works with four-wheel drum or disc/drum setups, and a piston adapter for manual or power brakes. It's built to adapt to your project instead of the other way around.

Plumb it from either side
With 3/8"-24 ports on both the left and right sides, you choose which side your brake lines come off. That makes it easier to clear headers, steering boxes and frame rails. Plugs are included to seal off the side you don't use.

Manual or power, your choice
The included piston adapter lets this master cylinder work with manual brakes or a power brake booster. Start manual now and add a booster later without buying a new master cylinder.

Fits more cars than a standard GM pattern
The wider oval mounting holes fit the common 3-3/8" GM pattern plus a wider range of firewalls and boosters. That gives you more mounting options than a typical master cylinder.

Small bore, firm pedal

The 7/8" bore builds strong line pressure with less pedal effort. It's a good match for four-wheel drum brakes and many disc/drum combinations, especially in lighter cars and manual-brake setups.
