PB9029 – 9" Single Diaphragm Power Brake Booster, 1962–1967 Chevy II / Nova

Built specifically for the 1962–1967 Chevy II Nova, the PB9029 is a 9" single diaphragm power brake booster with the unique 3-bolt stud pattern on the back of the can that these cars call for. Its compact 9" size fits the Nova’s tight engine bay while giving you smooth, confident power-assisted braking.

The third mounting stud is offset so the booster clears major components on the firewall. The PB9029 comes with a clevis for connecting the pushrod to your brake pedal, so it’s ready to hook up.

Installation notes:

• Manual-to-power conversions: Grind the welds and remove the old firewall studs, then drill the new stud holes to 7/16". The instructions include a firewall template, and a 2-1/4" hole saw is recommended for the hub opening. You may also need to drill a new clevis hole in the brake pedal arm about 1" below the original.
• A vacuum hose to the engine is required and is not included.
• Bleed the entire brake system after installation, then check for leaks and test the brakes before driving.
• Installation by an experienced installer is recommended.
