Adjustable Proportioning Valve Kit w/ (2) 10lb Residual Check Valves – Drum/Drum

Take control of your drum brakes.

Drum brakes can stop well, as long as the system is set up right. This complete kit gives you the two things a drum/drum system needs most: adjustable front-to-rear brake balance and residual pressure that keeps the pedal firm and the shoes ready.

At its heart is a Wilwood-style adjustable proportioning valve with a big, easy-grip knob clearly marked INCREASE and DECREASE. Turn it to dial in rear brake pressure until the car stops straight and level, with no rear lockup and no nose-diving. Two red anodized 10lb residual check valves hold light pressure in the lines, so the wheel cylinder cups stay seated. The result is a higher, firmer pedal and a quicker response every time you touch the brakes.

Dial in your brake balance
Every build is different: tire size, weight transfer, ride height and rear gear all change how your car stops. The adjustable knob lets you tune rear brake pressure to your exact setup in seconds, right from the engine bay. No guessing and no swapping parts.

10lb residual check valves made for drums
Drum brakes use return springs that pull the shoes away from the drum. Without residual pressure, fluid can drain back and the wheel cylinder cups can lose their seal. That leads to a low, spongy pedal and extra pedal travel. The included 10lb check valves keep just enough pressure in the lines to prevent it, without causing drag.

Brake lights built in
The valve has a built-in brake light pressure switch. The 2-wire pigtail and connector boot are included, so wiring your brake lights is simple and clean.

Everything you need to plumb it
Five steel 3/8"-24 tube nuts come in the box, so you can get your lines connected without a trip to the parts store.

Please note: This kit is made for drum/drum brake systems. 10lb residual valves should not be used on disc brakes, because they can cause the pads to drag. For disc/drum or disc/disc systems, see our other proportioning valve kits. Brake lines are not included.
