Pirate Jack 1976–1979 Ford Bronco & F-150 Disc Brake Backing Plates

Built tough for the trucks that built Ford’s reputation.

Your ‘76–‘79 Bronco or F-150 has spent decades hauling, towing, wheeling and working, and the front disc brake backing plates take a beating from all of it. Rust, road salt, mud, rocks and trail damage leave the originals bent, rusted thin or full of holes. A damaged backing plate stops protecting your rotors and calipers from water, dirt and debris, and it can rub, rattle and make noise.

Pirate Jack disc brake backing plates give your front brakes that protection back. They’re built to bolt in where the originals came off, so you can finish your brake job the right way without hunting down used parts or patching rusted ones.

Whether you’re doing a full frame-off restoration, rebuilding a trail rig or keeping your work truck safe on the road, these backing plates are the finishing touch your front brakes need.

Features

• Front disc brake backing plates for 1976–1979 Ford Bronco and F-150
• Left and right plates, stamped “L” and “R” for easy installation
• Shields rotors and calipers from water, mud and road debris
• Replaces rusted, bent or damaged original backing plates
• Ideal for restorations, rebuilds, trail rigs and daily drivers

Why replace your backing plates?
Backing plates guard your front disc brakes against the dirt, water and debris your truck kicks up. When they’re rusted through or bent, that grime gets into your brakes, and a bent plate can rub the rotor and cause noise. Replacing them during a brake job keeps everything protected and running quietly.
