Full Float 14-Bolt Disc Brake Conversion Kit (Single Rear Wheel) DOES NOT WORK FOR THE DUALLY

Upgrade your full float 14-bolt axle by replacing those heavy, outdated drum brakes with this complete disc brake conversion kit. Not only does this kit simplify the switch to disc brakes, it can also be more cost-effective than a full drum brake rebuild.

Designed for Chevy/GMC ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks from 1973 to 1987, this kit fits axles where the drum mounts behind the hub (not slip-over style). To verify fitment, measure from the 4-bolt backing plate flange to the rear surface of the hub where the wheel studs press through it should measure approximately 4 & 11/16”.

Key Features:

Fits 1973–1987 full-float 14-bolt axles with single rear wheels
Will not work with dually hubs/wheels or semi-float axles
Rotors mount to the backside of the hub
Factory studs often work, but if longer studs are required, many dually studs are compatible
Stud fitment tip: studs must slide into the rotor freely do not press them in. If your hub uses oversized studs, you may need to drill the rotor to match.
Ensure at least 5/8” thread engagement with lug nuts after wheel installation

Wheel Requirements: Must use 15” steel wheels with a maximum of 4” backspacing, or larger aluminum wheels
